Dolly Parton's Brother David Parton Passes Away at 82

David Parton, a retired bridge builder and one of Dolly's 11 siblings, died peacefully at his home in Tennessee.

David Parton's death was announced by his sister Stella on social media, but Dolly Parton has not yet made a public statement.
David was a retired bridge builder superintendent with a career focused in Tennessee, particularly in the Kingsport, Johnson City, and Knoxville areas.
He is survived by his wife Kay, two daughters, a nephew described as a 'nephew/son,' and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
David was the second-oldest of Dolly Parton's siblings and is preceded in death by three brothers, Randy, Floyd, and Larry.
A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19, at Leadvale Baptist Church in White Pine, Tennessee.
