Overview

  • The recall applies to 8-ounce Clover Valley Instant Coffee (UPC 876941004069) from lots L-5163, L-5164 and L-5165 sold July 9–21, 2025, in 48 states excluding Alaska and Hawaii.
  • Dollar General initiated the voluntary recall after a customer reported finding potential glass fragments in a jar at a store.
  • No injuries have been linked to the recalled coffee so far, but the FDA warns that ingesting glass can damage teeth, lacerate the mouth or throat, or perforate the intestine.
  • Dollar General is investigating the source of the contamination, has apologized for any inconvenience and is coordinating with the FDA.
  • Consumers with affected jars should discard them immediately and contact Dollar General at [email protected] or 1-888-309-9030 to request a full refund.
