Area Four detectives launched an investigation following the suspect’s escape

  • A male suspect forced his way into the home and opened fire, striking a dog inside the residence.
  • The injured dog was transported to MetVet Chicago and is currently listed in fair condition, police said.
  • No other injuries were reported and no arrests have been made since the shooter fled the scene.
