Dog Rescued After Falling 4 Meters Into Well Pipe in Germany

A 13-year-old dog was saved after an eight-hour operation involving over two dozen rescue workers in Stutensee, near Karlsruhe.

  • The incident triggered a complex rescue operation lasting over eight hours, starting early Saturday afternoon and ending late in the evening.
  • More than two dozen personnel from the local fire department and the Technisches Hilfswerk (THW) used heavy equipment, including a suction excavator, to access the animal.
  • Rescue workers carefully attached ropes to the dog to lift it out of the narrow pipe, ensuring no harm came to the animal during the process.
  • The dog was reported to be in good health and vitality after the rescue and was promptly returned to its dog basket.
