Dog Makes Gaming History with Speedrun at Charity Event
Peanut Butter, a Shiba Inu, is Set to Become the First Dog to Speedrun a Game at Games Done Quick
- Peanut Butter, a shiba inu, is set to become the first dog to speedrun a game at the annual charity event, Games Done Quick. The dog will be playing Gyromite, an NES game.
- Peanut Butter's human partner, James, also known as JSR_, is an accomplished speedrunner who has been involved in the hobby since 2016.
- The idea to involve Peanut Butter in speedrunning came from James' love for the challenge. He had previously performed a speedrun from every episode of the Angry Video Game Nerd Trials of JSR.
- Peanut Butter uses a custom controller to press buttons, effectively performing the role of ROB, an accessory for the NES that worked with Gyromite and Stack-Up.
- The dog's speedrun will be conducted remotely from their home in Las Vegas.
