- Outlets confirm Level 2 (Forager) now requires only one Dog Collar, with the playtest’s Torn Blanket requirement removed in the full release.
- The collar most often spawns in Residential areas, especially on Buried City’s Grandioso Apartments, Red Tower, and Santa Maria Houses and on The Blue Gate’s Raider’s Refuge, Ruined Homestead, and Village.
- Players report finds in small containers and on furniture; use the Workshop’s Track function to flag the item and place it in a safe pocket to avoid losing it on death.
- Later upgrades list consistent materials: Level 3 needs 3 lemons and 3 apricots; Level 4 needs 6 prickly pears, 6 olives, and 1 cat bed; Level 5 needs 12 apricots, 12 mushrooms, and 3 pillows.
- Scrappy passively returns materials after each raid even if you die, and some guides note that unlocking maps through match play can gate access to the best Residential hotspots.
