Dodgers Hire Chris Woodward as First Base Coach

Former Rangers manager returns to Los Angeles for his second stint on Dave Roberts’ coaching staff.

Chris Woodward replaces Clayton McCullough, who recently became the Miami Marlins' manager.
Woodward previously served as the Dodgers' third-base coach from 2016 to 2018 before managing the Texas Rangers from 2019 to 2022.
During his tenure with the Rangers, Woodward compiled a 211-287 record before being dismissed late in the 2022 season.
For the past two seasons, Woodward worked as a senior advisor in the Dodgers’ player development department, collaborating with both major and minor league teams.
In his new role, Woodward will oversee base running and infield coaching, while third-base coach Dino Ebel will shift to outfield responsibilities.
