• The Dodgers unveiled the mural on July 20 at the left field terrace of Dodger Stadium.
• Work by Mexican-American painter Robert Vargas features three portraits of Valenzuela alongside his iconic No. 34.
• Valenzuela’s widow Linda Burgos, son Fernando Jr., and former teammates such as Orel Hershiser, Dusty Baker, Ron Cey and Steve Garvey attended the unveiling.
• Manager Dave Roberts presented a framed commemorative jersey bearing Valenzuela’s name and a gold-hued No. 34 inscribed “Fernando Valenzuela: Por siempre un campeón.”
• The club gave away thousands of Valenzuela bobbleheads at the gates as part of the July 20 Bobblehead Night.
