Dodgers Ace Dustin May to Undergo Second Elbow Surgery, Ending Promising Season

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Dustin May will have surgery to repair his flexor tendon, keeping him out for the rest of the 2022 season.
May previously had Tommy John surgery in May 2021 and has only pitched in 20 starts over the past three seasons due to injuries.
Dr. Neal ElAttrache, who also performed May's Tommy John surgery, will conduct the procedure on July 18 in Los Angeles.
May showed potential in his short career but has been frequently sidelined, never starting more than 10 games in a single season.
The Dodgers rotation has faced multiple injuries this season, adding to the challenges from the absence of May, who will be out until at least June 2023.
