David Tennant's Doctor Who character returns for three Christmas specials, marking the 60th anniversary of the show, before the new season starts on Disney+ on Christmas Day.
The latest episode, 'The Giggle', introduces the concept of bi-generation, resulting in two Doctors - Tennant's Fourteenth and Ncuti Gatwa's Fifteenth - who can co-exist in the same world and lead separate lives.
The episode ends with Tennant's Doctor deciding to rest and spend time with his new found family, including former companion Mel, while Gatwa's Doctor sets off on his own adventure.
The episode also introduces the concept of the Toymaker, a villain who is banished from existence after losing a game against the two Doctors.
The next season of Doctor Who, led by Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor, is set to be more LGBTQIA+ friendly and inclusive than ever, with several references to non-binary inclusion and fluid sexuality.
