Doctor Who Episode Returns to iPlayer With Huw Edwards Removed

The BBC has redubbed the 2006 episode 'Fear Her,' replacing the disgraced presenter with new voiceover narration.

The 2006 Doctor Who episode 'Fear Her' has been restored to BBC iPlayer after being removed in August 2024 due to Huw Edwards' criminal conviction.
Edwards, who originally made a cameo as a BBC newsreader in the episode, was replaced by actress Becky Wright in newly recorded voiceovers.
The BBC edited the episode following Edwards' guilty plea to charges of possessing indecent images of children, for which he received a suspended sentence.
Changes include altered dialogue in scenes where Edwards' character provided commentary on events surrounding the London 2012 Olympics depicted in the episode.
The updated episode now features an iPlayer disclaimer stating that it was edited for legal, contractual, or technical reasons.
