Doctor Liable for Posting Decapitated Newborn's Autopsy on Instagram

A Georgia judge found Dr. Jackson Gates liable for emotional distress and privacy invasion after posting images of a decapitated baby online.

Dr. Jackson Gates and his business, Medical Diagnostic Choices, were found liable in a civil lawsuit for posting autopsy images of a decapitated newborn on Instagram.
The lawsuit was filed by the baby's parents, Jessica Ross and Treveon Isaiah Taylor Sr., who accused Gates of posting the images without permission.
Gates failed to respond to the civil complaint, resulting in a default judgment against him and his company.
The baby's death, caused by a rare birth complication known as shoulder dystocia, was ruled a homicide by the Clayton County Medical Examiner.
The parents are also suing the hospital and the doctor who delivered the baby, alleging negligence during delivery led to the decapitation.
