Dénia’s Dna Festival Returns Sept. 27–28 With Art‑Focused Eighth Edition Curated by Quique Dacosta

The program marks a decade of Dénia as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy with an international chef lineup, local producers and signature public installations.

Overview

  • Organizers presented the 2025 edition on September 15 in Dénia with Quique Dacosta joined by Consellera Marian Cano, Mayor Vicent Grimalt and artist Paco Roca.
  • Around 20 chefs from up to seven nationalities are slated to participate, including Jordi Roca, Alberto Chicote, Amaury Bouhours, Melhem Ibrahim Fraiha, Chiara Masino, Giuseppe Mazzocca, Wilson Alonzo, Hideyuki Kimura and Marie Thérèse Guimatsa.
  • The festival will stage a more than 500‑metre communal table and two performance spaces as public showcases for visiting chefs across both days.
  • A roster of about twenty local restaurants and a similar number of producers will offer programming that includes talks, workshops, culinary experiences, art exhibitions and live music.
  • Framing cuisine as an artistic discipline in dialogue with music, dance, literature, sculpture and visual arts, Dacosta emphasized tradition, craftsmanship and ceramic tableware as his creative canvas.
