Dénia’s D*na Festival Opens With ‘Infinite Bar’ and Star Chefs on the Marineta Cassiana

The edition marks a decade since Dénia became a UNESCO City of Gastronomy.

  • The eighth edition is underway on the Marineta Cassiana promenade, featuring a long communal “barra infinita” that anchors open-air cooking, talks and tastings.
  • Festival commissioner Quique Dacosta and Alberto Chicote led an opening tour focused on local producers, highlighting Mas de Llíber muscatel raisins, traditional embutidos and cocas.
  • The official inauguration brought together consellera Marian Cano, mayor Vicent Grimalt and AEHTMA vice president Amor López, who underscored the event’s cultural and economic value.
  • Aprosdeco participants contributed inclusive public-art pieces along the seafront, including “Recetas de vinilo con chef,” linking culinary creativity with music.
  • Saturday’s program showcases Pablo Montoro, Borja Susilla, Alberto Chicote, Amaury Bouhours and a finale by Jordi Roca, with Sunday centered on UNESCO Creative Cities and appearances by Marcos Morán, Luis Valls, Carolina Álvarez and Quique Dacosta before closing at 20:30.
