Overview
- Delhi Metro signed the contract with Alstom Transport India to enhance performance on the Red (Line-1) and Yellow (Line-2) corridors.
- The agreement runs for six years with an option to extend by an additional two years.
- Manuj Singhal of DMRC and Sachin Deora of Alstom signed the pact at Metro Bhawan in the presence of DMRC MD Vikas Kumar.
- The scope includes ensuring onboard spares for signalling systems and upgrading data logging to improve root-cause analysis of failures.
- Alstom will provide continuous backend support from global experts and conduct regular system audits on the DTG-equipped lines operating since 2002 and 2004.
