DMRC Completes Park Street Substation Relocation for Central Vista Project

The rebuilt facility positions the network for the Central Vista corridor by adding dedicated 25 kV feeders.

Overview

  • The relocated Park Street Electric Receiving Sub Station is operational after reconstruction concluded in December 2025 on CPWD-provided land.
  • Power supply to the Airport Line and the Violet Line continues through the combined facility without disruption.
  • Additional 25 kV feeders have been provisioned to meet traction needs for the planned Central Vista Metro Line between Indraprastha and R K Ashram Marg.
  • DMRC re-erected and commissioned major equipment including 66 kV power transformers, 66 kV GIS panels, 33 kV panels and 25 kV GIS panels.
  • The site incorporates upgraded substation automation, energy‑efficient VRF air-conditioning, LED lighting, automatic fire protection and a fully addressable fire alarm, with green certification under application and rooftop solar planned.
