• Two-time Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou has been cast as an immortal warrior from Africa, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
• Henry Cavill leads as Connor MacLeod with Russell Crowe as Ramirez, Dave Bautista as The Kurgen, Karen Gillan as MacLeod’s Scottish wife, and Marisa Abela as his present-day love interest.
• Principal photography is scheduled to begin at the end of September, with filming planned in Scotland, England and Hong Kong.
