DJI Launches Romo Robot Vacuums in Europe Using Drone Navigation

Early hands-on coverage points to sophisticated sensing with questions over value.

Overview

  • DJI’s Romo series is now on sale in Europe via store.dji.com with three models: Romo P at €1,899, Romo A at €1,599, and Romo S at €1,299.
  • The robots use dual fisheye cameras combined with wide-angle dual-transmitter solid-state LiDAR that DJI says can detect objects as thin as 2mm.
  • DJI advertises up to 25,000Pa of suction, a 164ml onboard water tank for mopping, and dual-spinning mop pads that lift on carpet.
  • The self-cleaning dock washes and hot‑air dries pads, offers a slot for a floor deodorizer solution, and features sound suppression targeting about 65dB.
  • Reviewers highlight precise navigation and the transparent design on the Romo P but note high prices versus rivals like Roborock, and a U.S. launch remains unannounced.
