DJI Launches Osmo Nano, a Tiny Modular Action Camera Not Shipping to the U.S. at Launch

A magnetically detachable camera pairs with a touchscreen dock to bring pro-level capture to places larger rigs can’t go.

Overview

  • The 52 g camera module uses a 1/1.3-inch sensor with 10-bit D-Log M, records up to 4K/120fps, and carries a manufacturer claim of roughly 13.5 stops of dynamic range.
  • DJI’s Multifunctional Vision Dock adds a 1.96-inch OLED preview/remote, fast-charges the camera to 80% in about 20 minutes, enables microSD expansion, and supports high‑speed transfers up to 600 MB/s.
  • Battery figures from DJI: about 55–60 minutes at 4K/30fps standalone, up to 200 minutes at 1080p/24fps when docked, and a dock-enabled Endurance mode targeting 60 minutes at 4K/30fps.
  • Use-focused features include gesture control to start recording by a nod or tap, a Pre‑Rec buffer that saves moments before hitting record, and direct pairing to two DJI wireless mics without a receiver.
  • On sale now in multiple regions with European pricing at €279 (64GB) and €309 (128GB), the camera is waterproof to 10 m while the dock is IPX4 splash‑resistant and it directly challenges Insta360’s tiny action cams.
