DJI Launches Osmo 360 With 8K/50fps Capture, Skips Official U.S. Release

Launch outside the U.S. highlights DJI’s use of square HDR sensors alongside its accessory network to challenge established 360-degree camera rivals

Overview

  • The Osmo 360 is now available in Europe at €479.99 (Standard) and €629.99 (Adventure), with launches also underway in India and other markets.
  • DJI has no official U.S. release date, directing American buyers to pre-order grey-market imports through retailers such as B&H and Adorama.
  • It pioneers native 8K recording at 50 fps and can continuously capture 8K/30 fps footage for up to 100 minutes using bespoke square HDR sensors.
  • Dual-lens spherical shooting is joined by a single-lens mode offering up to 5K/60 fps or 4K/120 fps, enhanced by HorizonSteady and RockSteady stabilization plus voice and gesture controls.
  • Compatibility with existing Osmo Action batteries and mounts extends to new accessories, including a Battery Extension Rod, Invisible Selfie Sticks and protective lens covers.
