Overview
- DJI has introduced the Mic Mini 2S as the newest entry in its Mic Mini line and has started sales in markets such as the UK and Australia.
- Each Mic Mini 2S transmitter records internally in 24-bit by default with optional 32-bit float files for wider dynamic range and safety backup when levels clip or are very quiet.
- The 2S receiver can mix up to four transmitters at once and is backwards compatible with Mic Mini and Mic Mini 2 transmitters but not with DJI’s non‑Mini mics.
- Workflow upgrades include NPU-driven AI noise cancellation with two strength settings, two levels of adaptive gain control, a redesigned charging case that holds more accessories, and faster transfers from transmitters to the case.
- Battery runtimes fall slightly versus the Mic Mini 2 as a trade-off for onboard recording, and DJI says the product will not launch in the United States until it secures regulatory authorization.
