DJ Leigh Brookfield Jailed for Assault on Cancer Patient

Brookfield filmed himself urinating on the victim at a club, posted the video online, and was later sentenced to 14 weeks in prison.

Leigh Brookfield, a 40-year-old DJ from Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, has been sentenced to 14 weeks in jail for urinating on a 72-year-old cancer patient, Peter Barton, and posting the video online.
The incident occurred on Boxing Day at Llanelli Tennis and Squash Club, where Brookfield filmed himself urinating on Barton, who was unaware of what was happening at the time.
Barton, who was undergoing treatment for prostate cancer, was informed about the incident the following day by club members who showed him the video.
Brookfield, who has three previous drink-driving related convictions, admitted to common assault and was ordered to pay £500 compensation, costs of £85 and a £155 surcharge.
Following the incident, Brookfield posted an apology on social media, which he later deleted, and was banned for life from the Llanelli Tennis and Squash Club.
