Overview

  • On Monday, Lagway took team reps with the first unit for the first time this camp, working 11-on-11 in a noncontact jersey.
  • Lagway is progressing from a left calf strain sustained in July after three weeks of modified work focused on individual drills and side throwing.
  • Napier said Lagway skipped Saturday’s scrimmage but logged a heavy throwing workload last week and is “feeling much better” and moving well.
  • Florida opens Aug. 30 against Long Island University before a rapid schedule ramp with USF, a Sept. 13 SEC opener at No. 9 LSU, and a trip to No. 10 Miami.
  • Aidan Warner, Tramell Jones Jr. and Harrison Bailey remain in a tight contest for the No. 2 job, while other availability notes include freshman Dallas Wilson being out, Tre Wilson limited and Caleb Banks recently in a protective boot.
