HeroTech's lightsaber uses a flexible LED strip and a motorized magician’s cane for controlled extension and retraction.
The design includes a Proffieboard for custom sound effects, enhancing the authenticity of the lightsaber experience.
Multiple prototypes were tested, including Lego gear pieces and 3D-printed parts, before finalizing the current model.
The current challenge is achieving consistent illumination from all angles by rotating the LED strip inside the sheath.
Plans are available for those with engineering skills to build their own version of the lightsaber.
