Overview
- Official exchange circulars set the Muhurat Trading pre-open at 1:30 pm, the main window from 1:45–2:45 pm, and trade modifications until 2:55 pm on Tuesday, October 21.
- BSE and NSE will be closed for Diwali-related holidays from October 19 to 22, creating an extended pause in regular sessions except for the one-hour Muhurat window.
- All orders executed during the Muhurat session will result in normal settlement obligations, as specified by the NSE.
- The special session will be available across segments including equity cash, equity futures and options, currency derivatives, commodity derivatives, and securities lending and borrowing.
- This year’s trading moves from the usual evening slot to the afternoon, and past Muhurat sessions have often ended higher, including 13 of the last 16 years.
