Disneyland to End Early Entry in 2026, Replace With One Lightning Lane Per Stay

Disney says low early-entry use prompted a shift toward a single, more flexible Lightning Lane entitlement.

Overview

  • Early Theme Park Entry ends on January 5, 2026, with the final day offered on January 4, 2026.
  • Hotel guests will receive one complimentary Lightning Lane Multi Pass entry per guest per stay, which applies to each person on an official resort reservation including DVC stays but not Good Neighbor hotels.
  • A valid park ticket and same-day park reservation are required to use the complimentary Lightning Lane entry.
  • The free entitlement cannot be used for Lightning Lane Single Pass attractions, currently including Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Radiator Springs Racers.
  • On January 5, 2026, Pixar Place Hotel’s dedicated Disney California Adventure entrance will close, with guests directed to use the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa entrance.
