Disneyland to Debut Walt Disney Animatronic for 70th Anniversary Show

The new attraction, set to open in May 2025, has divided Disney family members over its alignment with Walt Disney's legacy.

Disneyland will unveil 'Walt Disney – A Magical Life,' featuring the first-ever Audio-Animatronic of Walt Disney, on May 16, 2025, as part of its 70th anniversary celebration.
The animatronic will incorporate archival voice recordings to present an authentic portrayal of Walt Disney’s life and achievements.
Several of Walt Disney’s grandchildren, including Chris and Tamara Miller, have praised the project as accurate and in line with Walt's innovative spirit.
Joanna Miller, another grandchild, opposes the animatronic, citing claims that Walt Disney explicitly did not want to be represented in this way.
The attraction aims to celebrate Walt Disney’s legacy while advancing the Audio-Animatronics technology he helped pioneer, but it has sparked a debate over how best to honor his wishes.
