Disneyland Launches 70th Anniversary 'Celebrate Happy' Festivities

The year-long celebration debuts new attractions, nostalgic returns, and over 70 themed offerings across Disneyland Resort.

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party will return to Disneyland Resort in 2025 with more dates than ever before. Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, Calif., will throw family-friendly Halloween parties including immersive treat trails, rare character sightings and unique entertainment. For this spirited occasion, guests are invited to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes.

Overview

  • The 70th anniversary celebration, themed 'Celebrate Happy,' officially began on May 16, 2025, and will continue through summer 2026.
  • A new show, 'Walt Disney — A Magical Life,' featuring the park's first Audio-Animatronics figure of Walt Disney, premiered at the Main Street Opera House.
  • New entertainment includes the 'Celebrate Happy Cavalcade,' the 'Tapestry of Happiness' projection show, and the 'World of Color Happiness!' nighttime spectacular, hosted by Pixar's Joy from 'Inside Out.'
  • Beloved classics like the 'Paint the Night' parade and 'Wondrous Journeys' nighttime spectacular have returned, alongside updates to 'It’s a Small World,' which now features characters from 'Coco' and a new verse by the Sherman Brothers.
  • Guests can enjoy over 70 themed food items, including the Celebration Churro and 70th Celebration Cake, as well as exclusive anniversary merchandise and décor throughout the parks.
