Overview
- Excavators tore down two long-disused booths near the Downtown Disney entry in full view of guests, an unusual daytime demolition for the resort.
- Footage shared by Instagram user @worldofscreams and highlighted by reporter Scott Gustin on X showed the work unfolding beside the Esplanade.
- Anaheim approved the removals earlier in December after Disneyland consolidated ticketing and shuttered the booths in November.
- The cleared area is intended for the planned Porto’s Bakery and aligns with the teardown of the former La Brea Bakery site that most recently housed a temporary Earl of Sandwich.
- Work is expected to continue into early 2026 with some walkway detours, same-day in-person ticket sales remain available at the Lost and Found booth, and no opening date has been announced for Porto’s.
