The cancellation occurred on the last day of the show's season, with the next performance not expected until November 2024.
This is not the first weather-related incident at Disneyland Resort in the last year, with three people injured when wind toppled a fire pole on Main Street, U.S.A. in November 2023.
'Believe… In Holiday Magic' will be replaced by 'Mickey’s Mix Magic,' a projections-only show, until the return of 'Wondrous Journeys' on March 22, 2024.
Fans have expressed concerns that Disney is increasingly moving away from fireworks to focus more on drones, projections, and other technology which is cheaper and has less of an environmental impact.
