Disney World to Suspend Wilderness Lodge Boat Service Jan. 12–30 for Dock Maintenance
The closure supports routine dock work during a broader exterior refurbishment at the resort through late 2026.
Overview
- Walt Disney World says the Wilderness Lodge dock will be under maintenance from January 12 through early April 2026, with boat operations paused only January 12–30.
- Buses already run between Wilderness Lodge, Magic Kingdom, and Fort Wilderness, and Disney has not announced any additional replacement service for the boat pause.
- Current watercraft operations follow a single-loop pilot that lengthened some travel times and adds Disney's Contemporary Resort to the route in the afternoons.
- The dock work overlaps with an ongoing exterior refurbishment of Wilderness Lodge that Disney says will continue into late 2026.
- Guests should expect possible longer travel times and plan accordingly for time-sensitive reservations during the boat suspension window.
