Disney World to Close Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo for Monsters, Inc. Expansion

The beloved Muppets-themed attractions will close in June to make way for a new Pixar-inspired land at Hollywood Studios.

Muppet*Vision 3D, a long-standing attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, will close permanently on June 7, 2025.
The closure includes the adjacent PizzeRizzo restaurant and the entire Muppets Courtyard area, with Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano shutting down earlier on May 10, 2025.
The closures are part of Disney’s plan to introduce a Monsters, Inc.-themed land featuring immersive attractions and themed dining.
Muppet*Vision 3D holds historical significance as Jim Henson’s final project before his passing in 1990, making its closure especially poignant for fans.
The Muppets will remain at Hollywood Studios, as Disney plans to retheme the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster with a new Muppets concept in the future.
