  • The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District has adopted Comprehensive Plan 2045 to guide Walt Disney World’s development over the next two decades.
  • The blueprint calls for a minor theme park by 2030, a second by 2035 and a fifth major gate opening between 2035 and 2045.
  • Annual attendance is projected to climb to 99.3 million by 2045, a 94% increase over the 51.2 million visitors recorded in 2023.
  • Existing parks are expected to see double-digit growth by 2045, with Epcot rising to 20.2 million visits and Magic Kingdom to 28.1 million.
  • Disney World will expand infrastructure by adding 8,000 hotel rooms and hiring 11,000 additional employees to meet rising demand.
