Disney World Fast-Tracks Overhaul of Three Major Attractions

Overview

• DINOSAUR and the entire DinoLand U.S.A. area will close on February 2, 2026 to clear space for the Tropical Americas expansion at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
• Tropical Americas is slated to include an Encanto dark ride, a new Indiana Jones attraction, a large central fountain, and expanded dining, with Disney targeting a 2027 opening.
• Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster will relaunch in summer 2026 as Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, keeping the track but replacing all show elements and soundtrack.
• The attraction’s exterior giant guitar will receive a colorful redesign to match its new Muppets theme.
• Magic Kingdom’s Carousel of Progress will add a new Audio‑Animatronic of Walt Disney in the pre-show and update its final scene to reflect a more contemporary setting.
