Disney World Extends Park Hours for Thanksgiving Week

Officials lengthened morning and evening times to ease heavy holiday crowds alongside separately ticketed party nights.

Overview

  • Walt Disney World updated its official operating-calendar on Friday, November 6 to add hours at three parks for the week of November 22–28, 2026.
  • Magic Kingdom received the largest change with earlier openings and later closings on multiple dates, including a new Thanksgiving Day schedule of 8:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m and Early Theme Park Entry at 7:30 a.m.
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios now opens at 8:30 a.m. on November 23 and 24 with Early Theme Park Entry at 8:00 a.m., giving guests an extra 30 minutes in the morning on those days.
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom gains later evening hours on November 22 (now 7:00 p.m.) and November 24 (now 8:00 p.m.), while EPCOT’s Thanksgiving-week schedule remains unchanged.
  • Guests should monitor the Walt Disney World calendar and the My Disney Experience app because posted hours are official but may be revised, and separately ticketed party nights can still require early daytime closures and affect dining and Park Hopper plans.
