Disney+ Will Stream Super Bowl LXI to All U.S. Subscribers

Disney says broader streaming will increase measured audience, strengthen ad impressions, reduce February churn.

Overview

  • Disney announced on Wednesday that Disney+ will livestream Super Bowl LXI on Feb. 14, 2027, offering the same ESPN/ABC game presentation to every U.S. Disney+ subscriber and carrying the ESPN Deportes Spanish feed.
  • The stream will also be available in more than 55 international markets while ESPN’s linear networks will distribute the game to 130-plus countries and territories.
  • Disney+ will carry two Monday Night Football regular-season games as live tests for the service, beginning with Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 26 and a second matchup to be named later.
  • Disney reported in August that Super Bowl ad inventory sold out with 58 brands and industry reporting indicates Disney+ streams will be included in Nielsen’s official Super Bowl audience totals, increasing delivered impressions against that sold inventory.
  • Executives say the move is meant to grow the NFL’s global reach and to keep subscribers through February churn by adding a marquee live event to Disney+ while ESPN continues to offer alternate Super Bowl programming on the ESPN App.
