Disney Warns of Road Closures, Delayed EPCOT Opening During Wine & Dine Race Weekend

Early-morning races will shut key roads and shift park access as Disney urges guests to use resort transportation and plan for delays.

Overview

  • Saturday, Oct. 25, EPCOT Center Drive will be closed from about 4:15 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. for the 10K.
  • Sunday, Oct. 26, larger closures are scheduled, with Buena Vista Drive, Floridian Way, and World Drive South closed roughly 3:45 a.m. to 9:00–9:30 a.m., and EPCOT Center Drive closed about 4:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
  • EPCOT will open later on Sunday, with resort guests admitted at 9:30 a.m. and day guests at 10:00 a.m., and the Wine & Dine Post‑Race Party offering ticketed entry at 5:00 p.m. before a 10:00 p.m. start.
  • Disney handouts advise using Walt Disney World Transportation and extra travel time, note that the monorail and Skyliner are not available for event transportation, require athletes to use event buses, and close the walking path to Hollywood Studios until 7:30 a.m. on both weekend days.
  • With the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival ongoing and Spaceship Earth officially reopening Oct. 25, visitors should expect heavier crowds, especially Sunday evening.
