Overview
- The limited beta, which began on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, is being shown to randomly selected Walt Disney World website visitors in the United States and Canada.
- At launch the Guided Search combines flexible date or season search, a pricing and availability calendar, side-by-side resort comparisons, and AI-generated resort summaries.
- Disney built the feature with Google Cloud and references to Gemini technology and says the system will draw only on Disney’s internal data and include guardrails to reduce incorrect answers.
- The initial test deliberately excludes dining reservations, Lightning Lane planning, and multiple-room bookings, and Disney will keep existing booking tools, call centers, and travel advisors available.
- Public reaction is mixed as some guests welcome faster, personalized planning while others worry the shift reduces direct cast member guidance and could reshape how people get help booking trips.
