Disney Takes a Holiday Exhibit Opens at Hollywood Studios
A free walk-in experience that shows how Disney stages its holiday shows, presents archival displays and screens three classic shorts.
Overview
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios opened the seasonal exhibit “Disney Takes a Holiday” on Nov. 4 inside Walt Disney Presents, and it is available to regular park guests during standard hours.
- The exhibit uses photographs, vintage decorations and themed vignettes to trace decades of Disney Christmas traditions, including a letters-to‑Santa scene with oversized notes from Minnie, Donald and Goofy.
- A theater program inside the exhibit runs about 25 minutes and screens three classic shorts: On Ice (1935), The Art of Skiing (1941) and Pluto’s Christmas Tree (1952).
- Displays explain Holiday Services’ logistics, saying the team handles more than 50,000 decorations and over 800 themed trees with many installs done overnight, and the exhibit also describes the soap-based ‘snoap’ artificial snowfall system.
- Disney presents the exhibit as a free, indoor complement to its broader holiday lineup of ticketed night parties, park overlays and seasonal merchandise, and no specific closing date has been announced for the holiday season run.
