Overview

  • Crews have begun repairing two corners of the Aotearoa building roof with shade structures, yellow flags, lifts and barriers to replace the overhang lost to Hurricane Milton.
  • The guest laundry building roof is staged for repairs and its decorative carved gables are covered in plastic tarps to protect the South Pacific motif.
  • Site preparation that started in June has transitioned into active roofing work as part of the multi-phase modernization plan unveiled in May.
  • Construction off Floridian Way continues to realign the resort entrance and improve guest access with minimal disruption.
  • Walt Disney World has not publicly commented on the maintenance, reflecting its policy of conducting non-guest-facing upgrades discreetly.
