Disney Sets October Magic Kingdom Hours, With 6 p.m. Closure on Oct. 21 for Private Event

The update comes as Frontierland construction reshapes the park with Piston Peak alongside a planned Villains area.

Overview

On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, Magic Kingdom will close to day guests at 6:00 p.m. for a Gartner IT Symposium/Expo private event scheduled from 8:00 to 11:00 p.m.
From October 13–18, the park opens at 8:00 a.m. with 7:30 a.m. Early Entry, and it will remain open until 11:00 p.m. on October 15 and October 18.
On October 19, 24, and 25, Magic Kingdom again opens at 8:00 a.m. with 7:30 a.m. Early Entry, and on October 25 it closes at 11:00 p.m.
Select evenings throughout the month will still end early for Mickey’s Not‑So‑Scary Halloween Party.
Frontierland’s rework retires Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Liberty Belle as Disney builds a Cars‑inspired Piston Peak and a separate Villains area with at least four new attractions, prompting mixed fan reactions and executive assurances about honoring the land’s spirit.
