Disney Sets Oct. 20 Closures at Animal Kingdom for DinoLand Snack Stands and Harambe Market

Disney is reallocating menus to preserve quick-service capacity during construction.

Overview

  • Trilo-Bites and Dino-Bite Snacks will permanently close on October 20, with October 19 as the last day of operation.
  • Harambe Market will temporarily close beginning October 20 for a refurbishment to support burgers and chicken strips, with reopening expected in early 2026.
  • Buffalo Chicken Chips move to Eight Spoon Cafe and flavored DOLE Whip floats shift to Warung Outpost; soft-serve remains available elsewhere, and hand-scooped ice cream returns in February 2026.
  • Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery will open for lunch during the Harambe Market downtime, serving items like the Harambe Chicken Rice Bowl, a plant-based Picadillo Rice Bowl, and a Harissa Chicken Wrap.
  • DINOSAUR and Restaurantosaurus remain scheduled to close after February 1, 2026 as DinoLand U.S.A. gives way to the Tropical Americas/Pueblo Esperanza project targeting a 2027 debut.
