Disney+ Sets 'Made in Korea' December 24 Premiere, With Season 2 Already in Production

The streamer is positioning the star-led period thriller as a flagship Korean original for its global APAC strategy.

Overview

  • Season 1 will launch with two episodes on December 24, followed by two on December 31, episode five on January 7, and the finale on January 14.
  • Disney+ confirmed a second season is underway and slated to arrive in late 2026.
  • Set in 1970s Korea, the series stars Hyun Bin as KCIA agent Baek Kitae, with Jung Woo-sung as prosecutor Jang Geon-young and Woo Do-hwan as Kitae’s brother.
  • Director Woo Min-ho makes his first OTT series with writers Park Eunkyo and Park Joonseok, produced by Hive Media Corp.
