Disney Sets February 2026 Shutdown for DinoLand U.S.A. at Animal Kingdom

The move clears the way for Tropical Americas featuring Encanto alongside an Indiana Jones ride, slated for a 2027 debut.

Overview

  • Disney confirmed DINOSAUR and Restaurantosaurus will have a final operating day of February 1, 2026, with permanent closure on February 2.
  • The Boneyard permanently closed after September 1, 2025, and construction walls now block DinoLand’s main entrance, with a detour to DINOSAUR routed past the Finding Nemo theater.
  • Donald, Daisy, and Chip ‘n’ Dale in their DinoLand costumes will make last appearances on February 1, 2026, before relocating within the park the next day.
  • Harambe Market will close for refurbishment this winter to prepare for a menu shift that incorporates Restaurantosaurus favorites in early 2026; Kali River Rapids’ annual refurb runs October 6 through December.
  • Tropical Americas will include a new Encanto ride-through, an Indiana Jones experience using the DINOSAUR footprint, a large quick-service hacienda, a hand‑carved animal carousel, and a new kids’ play area targeted for 2027.
