Disney Sets Feb. 2, 2026 Shutdown of DinoLand U.S.A. as Harambe Market Preps Menu Overhaul

The shift clears space for the Tropical Americas project, starting a phased reshuffle of food service and guest amenities.

Overview

  • Disney’s website confirms DinoLand U.S.A.—including DINOSAUR, Restaurantosaurus, Dino-Bite Snacks, and related venues—will permanently close on February 2, 2026.
  • Harambe Market will close for refurbishment this winter and is slated to reopen in early 2026, with multiple outlets reporting it will serve Restaurantosaurus-style burgers, chicken strips, and similar items.
  • The Boneyard playground closed on September 2, 2025, and the Dino-Bites ‘Dino Eggs-cavation’ treat has been removed as phase-out changes begin appearing on the ground.
  • Kali River Rapids is reported to close October 6, 2025, for maintenance with a planned reopening in December 2025.
  • Indoor seating capacity will shrink once Restaurantosaurus closes, as Harambe Market offers outdoor seating only until the new Tropical Americas area targeted for 2027 opens.
