Disney Sets Feb. 2, 2026 Closure for DinoLand U.S.A. at Animal Kingdom

The date clears the way for Animal Kingdom’s Tropical Americas expansion opening in 2027.

Overview

  • Disney confirmed that DINOSAUR, Restaurantosaurus and The Dino Institute Shop will close permanently on February 2, 2026, with February 1 as the final day of operation.
  • The Boneyard closed on September 1, 2025, and construction walls now block the land’s main entrance, creating a temporary detour route to DINOSAUR and nearby dining.
  • Harambe Market will undergo a winter 2025 refurbishment and reopen in early 2026 serving several Restaurantosaurus menu items.
  • February 1, 2026 will be the last day to meet Donald, Daisy and Chip 'n' Dale in their DinoLand outfits, with character greetings relocating starting February 2.
  • The 11-acre Tropical Americas area will feature new Encanto and Indiana Jones attractions, a carved-animal carousel and a replacement play area targeted to debut in 2027.
