Overview
- Deadline and LaughingPlace report that Maeve Touhey, Ta’imua, and Freddie O’Donahue have joined Catherine Laga’aia and Deacon Phillippe as series regulars on the Spaceship Earth pilot.
- Creators Jason Fuchs and Michael Waldron remain attached as writers with Fuchs showrunning and Lee Toland Krieger set to direct under 20th Television and partner producers.
- Producers are keeping character details private, so the cast additions complete the core ensemble without revealing who each actor will play.
- The new actors bring varied backgrounds: Touhey makes her acting debut after building a music following, Ta’imua has recent TV and an Oscar‑nominated short credit, and O’Donahue has upcoming film roles.
- The casting continues Disney’s trend of testing attraction-based ideas through pilots, and the next milestones to watch are pilot production and whether Disney+ will greenlight a full series.
