Disney Parks Map Out January Closures, Including Rise of the Resistance and Frozen Ever After
Staggered downtimes with TBD reopenings will force guests to adjust itineraries.

- Disneyland will temporarily close 11 attractions in January 2026, led by Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance going down January 20 for its first extended refurbishment since 2020 with no reopening date announced.
- Seasonal transitions include Haunted Mansion closing January 12–22 to remove its holiday overlay and it’s a small world closing January 26 to shed holiday decor with a return date not yet listed, while Fantasmic! has scheduled dark days throughout the month.
- At Disney California Adventure, Grizzly River Run closes January 5 for annual winter work, Incredicoaster goes offline starting January 5 with reopening TBD, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind is set for January 5–22, and Redwood Creek Challenge Trail closes January 8 with timing to return unspecified.
- Walt Disney World will see Frozen Ever After close January 26 for animatronic upgrades with only a general February reopening window shared, and the Disney Skyliner will be down for maintenance January 25–31 with bus transportation provided.
- Longer-term projects continue with Big Thunder Mountain Railroad remaining closed at Magic Kingdom, and Disney Food Blog reports Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin will be unavailable throughout January during its overhaul.
