Overview
- Official listings show Vacation Fun continued to run on Wednesday, October 28 and Walt Disney World removed the previously posted temporary closure for the Mickey Shorts Theater.
- Disney has offered no public explanation for the removal of the October 28 closure notice, leaving it unclear whether the shutdown was canceled, delayed, or moved to another location.
- The theater has been repurposed repeatedly in 2026, including a Star Wars activation April 29–May 5 and an August 9–September 27 Kermit the Frog magnet distribution, with Vacation Fun returning in late September.
- The originally scheduled October 28 closure aligned with the start of the separately ticketed Jollywood Nights holiday event on November 7, but Disney has not confirmed any link between the two.
- Guests seeking a predictable indoor break are advised to check the My Disney Experience app or the official Walt Disney World website for day‑of status because the theater’s flexible use makes future schedule changes likely.
