Disney Hires Former Meta Exec Andre Rohe to Lead New Product Engineering Division

Andre Rohe will oversee a consolidated engineering team as Disney prepares for the launch of its flagship ESPN streaming service in the fall.

Andre Rohe, a veteran of Meta, YouTube, and Google, has been appointed executive vice president of product engineering for Disney Entertainment and ESPN.
Rohe will lead a newly unified engineering division that combines teams focused on product, media, commerce, growth, and identity engineering.
The appointment comes as Disney works to enhance its digital platforms and prepare for the launch of a direct-to-consumer ESPN streaming service later this year.
Disney aims to integrate features like fantasy sports, advanced statistics, betting options, and e-commerce into the upcoming ESPN platform.
Rohe brings over two decades of experience in AI, machine learning, and personalization, which will support Disney's efforts to boost user engagement and reduce churn.
